The Belief Gap Diagnostic · £4,500 fixed

You have the evidence, but they are still not moving.

I solve complex communications problems that rarely begin with communications. I locate the first point where belief breaks, and underneath is usually a decision nobody has made yet.

Co-founder, The Decision Room · Over $100 billion of investment assets in one room

Where it shows upAL · 01
In the room

Everyone agrees, nobody acts

Your evidence holds. The case has substance. The people who need to move keep saying it is interesting and then going quiet. That is not a messaging failure. It is a belief failure, and it breaks at a specific point.

In the documents

Everyone reads a different version

The deck says one thing. The website says another. The last proposal said a third. Nobody planned it: the story kept adapting to whoever asked, and by now your reader can tell.

In the market

Everyone is waiting for someone else

Capital waits for proof. Funders wait for alignment. Customers wait for a reference. Partners wait for commitment. All of them are waiting on the same first mover, and that is the person your material has to serve best.

The diagnosticAL · 02

The belief gap, found in your own material

The Diagnostic is a standalone deep reading of the material behind one consequential decision. The work happens in the reading, not in meetings.

I go through whatever an investor, buyer, funder or partner receives first: typically the deck, the model, the reports, the board papers or the transcripts.

You get the findings in a written document, evidenced against your own material, page by page. Not opinions about your brand.

  • Where belief breaks first, whether it lives on a page, in a room, or in the offer itself
  • What your material asks the reader to assemble for themselves
  • The decision underneath the symptoms, and what choosing it would require
  • An honest read on what a story can fix and what it cannot

Any rewriting, redesign or production is scoped afterwards, from the findings.

Most of what I find is already yours. It is in your documents, in the wrong order, or in your own words and never written down.

Confidential

Everything you send stays between us, and an NDA is welcome. Client findings publish only with permission.

How it works
01

Request

Tell me what you are trying to move, who is not moving, and what material exists. I reply within five working days: fit or not, and why.

02

Agree

Thirty minutes, if it is a fit. We agree the material and the date your findings land.

03

Diagnose

I go through the material in depth: where belief breaks, what the reader is left to assemble themselves, and the unresolved decision underneath it.

04

Findings

Land in writing, evidenced against your material. Use it yourself, hand it to your team, bring me in to build it, or stop there.

If you want me to build from itAL · 03

One story that survives every room it enters

Some clients stop with the diagnosis. If you want me to work from the findings, we scope a separate engagement around what the diagnosis actually found, a pitch, a narrative, a keynote, a rebrand, or the wider architecture. The diagnosis determines what needs solving, not a pre-set package. Engagements start at £25,000; most run for weeks or months, depending on what needs solving.

The fee is flat because you are not buying my time. You are buying what the engagement ends with.

The problems this solvesAL · 04

Six shapes of the same gap

Start where you recognise yourself
01

One story, many rooms, no architecture

Investors, funders, customers, partners, boards. Each needs a different door into the same house. Right now they are entering different houses.

02

The number arrives before the case

The disqualifying figure appears before anything that would change their mind. The answer exists in your material, just in the wrong place.

03

No centre

Three versions exist because one decision was never made. Until someone owns the story, every version is defensible and none is believed.

04

An ask nobody can act on

You are asking for commitment several steps ahead of where they stand. The real next step is small, and your material never names it.

05

Assets nobody uses

Your strongest asset is not written down, usually because it is obvious to you. It is the thing that would move them, and it is missing.

06

Substance that reads as unfinished

You are building iteratively, in the open, and it reads as undecided. A fixed centre reads as growing; without one, it reads as unfinished.

Whichever shape is yours, the fix starts the same way: someone has to own the story.

One narrative owner, with your team on execution.

01Narrative

Fifteen years in storytelling, brand and pitch. Over the last five, much of that work has been with technically dense climate, nature and frontier-science organisations, from alternative protein and biotech to regeneration and industrial decarbonisation. I am used to entering complex work quickly.

02Systems

My work sits at the intersection of narrative and the systems behind it: capital, coalitions, and why proven substance still fails to move. I convene those rooms too, with the investors, funders and decision-makers your story eventually has to move.

03Execution

When you need branding, design or execution, my studio, Brighter Future Studio, steps in.

Two, told properly

Both were first-of-a-kind, which is one of the hardest versions of the same deadlock: no precedent means nobody wants to be the precedent.

eeden · Documented contribution

Chemical textile recycling, Germany

A German chemical textile recycling company could not convert major fashion brands despite sound technology. I built the pitch, the deck and the CEO's delivery of it from scratch, around regulatory timing and first-mover positioning.

"Brighter Future's pitch development work directly contributed to our success in securing a major Letter of Intent with one of the world's leading fashion brands." Steffen Gerlach · CEO, eeden
Unibio · Same structural problem

Biofermentation, Denmark

A Danish biofermentation company built its brand, narrative and positioning with me as it worked to move its cornerstone investor from holding equity to committing capital to build.

"We started with complexity and ended with clarity. Aaron challenged, guided, and delivered — our brand now matches our ambition." David Henstrom · CEO, Unibio
More voices, across climate and science-led teams
"Game changer. Our brand went from overlooked to credible. Aaron went deeper than anyone else we spoke to — and it shows."
Thibault Sorret · CEO, ERS
"Aaron helped us reframe our story into something confident, fundable, and emotionally compelling. We've since doubled our raise target."
Romain Fau · CEO, Kanop
"Aaron asked the right questions, aligned our team, and helped us unlock messaging that led to one of our biggest partnership wins."
Julian Hertrampf · eeden
"Clarity, vision, and a team that truly listens. Aaron brought purpose and structure to our brand in a way that's already opened new doors."

Most of my work happens behind closed doors. You see the result in the next meeting.

When the story stops losing the people you need, the conversation changes: they stop asking who else is in, and start asking how to move.

Start with the diagnostic: £4,500, fixed. Set it against the cost of another quarter of conversations that end with "interesting". If the diagnosis is enough, you stop there with a clear answer.

The situation, not the sector

Best when: you have real substance, a consequential decision is stuck, and the people who need to act are not moving.

Not for: logo, tagline or content-calendar briefs · products still proving whether they work · teams looking to outsource the story rather than decide it with me.

If your problem is that nobody wants what you have, I cannot help. If the substance is real and the belief is not, that is the one I work on.
